Five reasons for the oil in the excavator

Five reasons for the Oil into the water

Excavator oil entering the water will cause the engine crankshaft, connecting rod and other important components to deform, causing the engine to shake, and the heavy one will cause the component to break and the engine to be scrapped. So what causes the engine to enter the water?

1, engine water plugging water leakage

Due to the corrosion of scale, the water will rust and the cooling water will enter the oil passage from the waterway to the oil sump. This is a common cause, so check the water block frequently.

2, the oil radiator is damaged

The radiator pipe is damaged, and the water outside the radiator will penetrate into the oil radiator, causing the oil to enter the water.
3, the cylinder liner crack

When the cooling water comes into contact with the working cylinder liner, cracks are easily generated. Once the crack occurs, the cooling water will directly enter the cylinder and enter the oil sump through the cylinder wall, which will make the oil white and the oil will turn white. It can cause problems such as poor engine burning and white smoke. Under normal circumstances, the cylinder liner is not prone to cracks, but in some cases, for example, the winter cooling water is not filled with antifreeze to cause icing, which may cause cracks in the cylinder liner.

4, the cylinder liner seal is damaged

Damage to the cylinder seal is a common cause of oil ingress, so be sure to check that the cylinder seal is intact when troubleshooting the cause.

5, the cylinder head gasket is damaged

If the cylinder head gasket is damaged, the water circulation speed is fast, and the water in the water channel will flow into the oil oil passage, causing the oil to enter the water. Cylinder gasket damage is also one of the common causes of oil ingress. After each disassembly of the machine, try to use a new cylinder head gasket to avoid leakage of water from the cylinder gasket and cause engine damage.

Four methods for judging oil inflow

1. Observe the appearance of the oil of the digging machine. It is easy to judge whether the oil contains moisture by the color. Oils that do not contain water are translucent oily, while oils that contain water exhibit opaque brown or earthy yellow.

2. Check if the oil in the excavator coolant contains oil. If some parts of the engine are damaged, the engine coolant will enter the lubrication system and the oil will be mixed together. The infiltrated oil will also be found in the tank coolant and can be easily identified.

3. If the engine oil enters the water, it will chemically react with the coolant in a high temperature environment to form an emulsion. Checking the dipstick will reveal a white color with foam.

4. When the oil of the excavator contains a lot of water, the oil level of the oil will rise. At this point, we can simply judge the level of the oil level.

Digging machine oil water failure We can judge whether the oil is in the water by several aspects such as the appearance color of the oil, the oil level of the oil, and the observation of the oil coolant. When encountering engine water, do not start the engine twice, you need a professional maintenance worker to clean the internal water of the engine, then from the oil radiator, water block, cylinder seal, cylinder liner, cylinder gasket, etc. Check to determine the cause of the oil entering the water.
